As you probably noticed, the name of my business is The Good Life Revolution.  Sure it’s a little crazy, but I love it!  In my logo below you’ll see a fist and a beautiful tree, which may not make sense at first glance but it says everything about what’s important to me and why I do what I do.

The story behind the name & logo all started with a major aha moment I had in 2010.  The short version is this:  For years I was trying really hard to be something I wasn’t, because I thought I should.  I felt pressured to act like other people so I could be successful.  After an insightful conversation with a coach friend, I finally realized I was just pretending and I had been for years.  I had so much more to offer than this fake version of me.  At that moment, I’d had enough!  I decided to be the real me – to stop climbing the corporate ladder & comparing myself to others, to focus on doing things I love, embrace my strengths, celebrate life, and take a stand against pointless “busy-ness” and long hours.  It was a MAJOR relief, and it changed everything.

But it is also a choice that perplexes other people!  They don’t get it, and because they don’t get it, they often don’t like it. You’d be surprised at how often people judge and try to discourage me from doing it my way (thanks for the theme song, Frank Sinatra!).  I have to stand strong in living this life that aligns with my values, and it often feels like swimming upstream…or like I’m fighting in a revolution.  It’s sometimes challenging to stand my ground, but it’s absolutely worth it.

Hence, it’s a Good Life Revolution! The fist in the logo represents taking a stand, and the tree (which represents personal growth and standing strong) softens it with warmth and connection.  My version of the “good life” is all mine, and I’m sure yours is different.  But we all deserve our version of a good life and not a life of “shoulds.”  We deserve a life that feeds our soul.

My hope is that everyone will join the revolution and be the real you, living that life you love that aligns with your values and gives you energy every day!   Trust me.  It feels amazing.  And I’m standing strong.
